I Enjoyed BBCC

This Labor Day weekend I attended the Big Bend Comic Con and had a blast. After getting things done for a month in advance, moving, and getting my books created and ordered it was great to be able to go to such an interesting and fun event. Meeting new people and seeing some old friends was a blast. I really enjoyed the event and I thank everyone who was both interested in and purchased my books.

Me and my setup

I don’t know anything about the future of the event, but I would definitely like to attend the next convention. I’m also looking into events around the area in the near future.

I hope you had a good and restful Labor Day weekend. I know I did, and I’m ready to get back to working.

Update 9-3-15 – Books and Big Bend Comic Con

This update comes a little close to the event due to strange circumstances and problems with moving, but it is still here before the event it is discussing.photo-88
This weekend I will be attending the Big Bend Mini Comic Con in Alpine, Texas as an artist. It’s at Sul Ross State University on Saturday the 5th from 1-5 pm. At this event I will be premièring 2 new books and 2 updated versions of my previous books, as well as having my last two compilations for sale as well.photo-89
The two new books are collections of Spiffy the Frog and One Off Beat. They will join updated editions of my not-available-online books Sturmpanzerwagen and Drak Pouste, and my two previous collections of All Life, No Lemons and Panzerkampfwagen. Shortly after this convention, these new books will be available on Amazon and the Createspace e-store. And additional post will be made when that happens.photo-85
I hope you enjoy your Labor Day weekend and festivities and I hope if you’re in the Big Bend area you can come down to the Con and say hello!

Blog 8-26-15 – Moving and Mini Convention

Hello folks! Unfortunately today there will be no extra review or article post like the last few weeks as I am moving and had to prioritize many of the more regularly scheduled items. This is the same reason many of the videos I have planned have been delayed. There is another EDC series to go with the summer blog posts, and a few other fun ones in the making right now. I hope to put these up soon after I get my life smoothed over.

But in more exciting news, I have been working on 4 books, 2 more collections of my web-comics, and two updated versions of small books I did previously. If all goes well, these books will premier at the Big Bend Mini Comic Con on September 5, at which I will have a table. When they are released, I will have a separate post dedicated to that.

I hope the summer went (and is going) well for all of you, and I hope you can be patient with the posting schedule. And if you’re in or around the Big Bend area of Texas on September 5th, I’d recommend coming this new fledgling event in Alpine.

万年筆 10,000 Year Brush Hiatus

Hello followers and fountain pen fans! I’m sad to say that, after the next two 10,000 year brush comics are published, the strip will be put on indefinite hiatus similar to Dice Comics. They reason for the stop at this point is both because 84 is a good number to work with in collection format, and because I like the number. But I also feel that I’m just not making as good a strip as I can. I’m not out of jokes yet, but there are some weeks when I feel like I’m forcing a joke where there is none, and I don’t want to continue on and produce a sub-par product. I hope y’all have enjoyed the run so far and that in the future I can restart with fresh ideas.

3,000 Posts

This is the 3,001st post on this site, which is something that I’m very happy about. It’s great to be able to look back and say you’ve done 3,000 of something (like having 2,000 comics). Tried to do some post finagling to make this the 3,000th post, but that didn’t work out. So this post will replace my article for the week and there will be no mid-week review.

I’m very glad to have reached such a large amount of content on this site, and I hope everyone who has been reading, watching, or listening has enjoyed it. I’ve been having a little trouble getting videos and written things out as evidenced by the past weeks. But my new schedule is settling in and allowing me to get more done.

I hope that the previous 3,000 posts have been enjoyable, and that the next 3,000 will be just as much so.
