1. It’s the name of a Texas hero, my brother was named after one before me, when my parents lived in a state where it was original, and they decided to continue the theme with me. Though in Texas, the name is a lot more common.

2. Almost all of the stuff I have is older stuff, so that answer for me would be almost all the time, there are so many different factors including: price, usability, wear, packaging, etc. that could factor in it would take me quite a long time to answer such a simple question.
