Blog 11-9-13 – Site Changes

Today, Blip.tv deleted my account. They didn’t do it without warning. I was told they would be deleting it a month ago, and at that time they also froze most of my services with them. They also gave me an opportunity to download all of my original master videos from their servers, which I did, except for 4 which were apparently lost in the aether. That doesn’t matter, though, because I still have all of the master copies of my videos.

Now it does suck to lose my Blip views, and statistics (which were much more helpful than Youtube’s) but I do understand it. I really wasn’t following their new (I assume as I don’t remember hearing them before) guidelines. I am slightly upset, but I would be much more upset if, say, Youtube did the same thing to me, as Youtube is advertised as a service for anyone, even though some aspects of it are moving toward monetizing content, it still gets its core from the everyday user.

So I don’t hate Blip, but be warned if you sign up, they do delete accounts that aren’t “shows” and they can lose master video files.

Anyway, as a consequence of this, all the videos on my site are now from Youtube. And I will be going through the process of putting ads on some of the lengthier ones, just as a warning.

I’m also looking into putting ads on this site and Dragonfunnies.com, because I have to make money somehow. So that’s happening, and it may take a long or a short time.

And finally, I know I haven’t been posting weekly articles or blogs like I used to, this is because I have run out of ideas and have so much work to do that I can’t think of new ones. So that feature will be indefinitely delayed. It may or may not come back when I’m not as busy.

But what am I busy on? You ask. I have a new comic book and several new comic collections coming in the month, and I’ll be showing previews very soon, so stay tuned.

Up but not Finished

Yes, this site is up, but not finished, content wise at least. Content from other sites is still being funneled in, and dates and other things updated. Please allow at least a week before this setup is completed and things on the site will only update with new content. Until then all the Comics and art supply reviews, along with most of the articles and such have been posted for your enjoyment.

Nothing to Do

So, this has nothing to do with anything, but I got this letter from Macalester university or something, and it begins with blah, blah, blah. That about sums up my feelings for it.

I also went through a very tough time recently when I had to give away the decepti-fridge.

Though everything turned out okay, because the guys installing the fridge actually re-applied the sticker and made my new fridge a decepti-fridge.
(This was months ago and I’m just now getting over it enough to write about it)

So anyway, I hope you are having a good time while I actually think of interesting things to write about.

Book Signing

Hello guys,  in a little over a week on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th I will be signing books at the Antelope Lodge in Alpine, TX. I will be there from six until dark. The three books I have previously released will be there, as well as four new ones, and three special color editions.

Here is a preview of the covers of the new releases.

Review – Bicycle Dice 5 pack

So, you wanna play a dice game? Perhaps you lost a few dice from your favorite board game. What do you do? If your answer was go to the store and look for dice you might come across a pack of five Bicycle brand dice for a buck.

How could you go wrong with dice? I do know how I can tell you that this set has no problems. They are solid and nice, being the perfect size for fitting in the hand. They are durable little things with well-applied paint that doesn’t like to rub off. They roll great, don’t slip in ones hand and make that satisfying dice sound.

I mean, they’re dice, there is almost no way they could be screwed up. And these are the best of not being screwed up. If you need a few dice, go with these.
