万年筆: The 10,000 Year Brush
万年筆 (Man'nen'hitu{histu}) is the Japanese word for fountain pen. And it literally translates to the 10,000 year brush. This Reflects, at least in part, an attitude common in Japan about tools and instruments. That they should last a lifetime or more. This is a comic celebrating fountain pens, and their usage. It's also funny.
